Serious Help.
For the Seriously Injured.

A Tradition Of Legal Excellence In Personal Injury Law

Since 2003, Athens Injury Law has been providing compassionate, experienced and aggressive legal advocacy for clients throughout Georgia. Our practice is entirely focused on personal injury and wrongful death matters, and our attorneys bring nearly 50 years of combined experience to each case. In the case of attorney Tim Hall, this includes experience as a former insurance defense attorney. He understands the tactics insurers use to reject and minimize claims, and he uses that knowledge to improve outcomes for the firm’s clients.

Insurance Companies Size Up Your Lawyer Just Like You Do

Before you hire any attorney, make sure to ask for details about any similar cases that attorney has actually tried and whether the attorney obtained a jury verdict greater than the insurance company’s best settlement offer. This information is the best indication one can have about the true talent level of an attorney and will tell the potential client how much respect that attorney will receive from the insurance industry.

Rest assured that the insurance company will know, based on its record of past cases, whether the attorney you choose is capable of trying your case before a jury and obtaining a favorable result. This information will have a great impact on how much value the insurance company assigns to your case. At Athens Injury Law, our lawyers have nearly 50 years of combined experience. You can trust us to provide you with the strong representation you deserve.

We Stand Behind Our Results On Behalf Of Clients

View a sample of our results in actual cases. As you will see, our jury verdicts are usually several times higher than the insurance company’s best settlement offer. Many so-called “trial attorneys” will rarely go to trial. Rather, they will advise their clients to accept a pretrial settlement offer, which may be only a fraction of the full value of the case, in order to avoid the courtroom. If you are seriously injured, you need a lawyer who can get you the full value of your case.

Our team places a premium on client relationships. We want to exceed your expectations and show you with each interaction that we value you and your case. In addition to our case results, we are also proud of the consistent positive feedback we receive.

How We Can Help You

Our dedicated lawyers and support staff are ready to assist you with all of the following:

  • Documenting your injuries and damages
  • Identifying all applicable insurance policies
  • Filing any necessary lawsuits on your behalf
  • Advising you of any legal deadlines crucial to your case
  • Notifying all insurance companies and adverse parties of your claim
  • Locating and hiring appropriate expert witnesses to bolster your claim
  • Preserving evidence (there may be letters that need to be sent to third parties immediately to prevent destruction of evidence)

This is a lot of work, to be sure, but that’s something you don’t need to worry about. When you hire us, we take care of the details of your case so that you can focus on recovering and taking care of those you love.

Athens Injury Law: Reviving History At Oconee Street School

Our office is where history meets justice. We are located in the iconic Oconee Street School building, a historic gem that has been given a new lease on life. This remarkable transformation is a testament to our commitment to the community and our desire to preserve the rich history of Athens.

A Journey Through Time

The story of the Oconee Street School began in 1908 when the Athens City School Board embarked on constructing the first permanent location for the elementary school. Over the next 50 years, the building became a hub for education, nurturing thousands of Athens elementary students. However, as the city and the University of Georgia grew, the school outgrew its space, leading to its closure in 1975.

From Abandonment To Preservation

The Oconee Street School stood vacant for nearly five decades, succumbing to neglect and vandalism. Plans for its future varied from student housing to demolition. Thankfully, in 2018, the National Register of Historic Places recognized its significance by protecting it from potential destruction.

Athens Injury Law Steps In

In 2020, Athens Injury Law, in collaboration with Grahl Construction Co., undertook the ambitious task of revitalizing the historic property. Tim Hall, our founding attorney, expressed the importance of preserving the building’s historical integrity.

The restoration included the main staircase, conversion of classrooms into conference rooms and retention of relics from its schoolhouse days, such as an original chalkboard. The revived building has become a source of community nostalgia, with many locals sharing their fond memories of the Oconee Street School and clients recounting stories of their time as students.

A Bright Future For A Historic Landmark

Today, the Oconee Street School building is a testament to the successful marriage of preservation and modern utility. We take pride in continuing the legacy of this historic building, providing our personal injury clients with a state-of-the-art facility where the best attorneys and paralegals in Athens handle their claims.
